Let's get you living the life you want! My main coaching approaches include IFS, Co-Active coaching, StrengthsFinder, and embodied creation. Check out the Concepts page for more details.
If you're a business owner who wants to run a business that is aligned with your spiritual values and practices, I want to work with you! My coaching is not attached to any specific spiritual or religious practice. My approach is largely based on embodied creation, StrengthsFinder, and leadership coaching.
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Illinois and can provide therapy as long as you're physically located in IL during our sessions.
This is a complex and wide-ranging topic! Coaching is often presented as highly directive, problem-solving and goal-oriented whereas therapy is seen as slower and more past-oriented.
The reality is much messier. A coach who was not trained at an institute accredited by ICF (International Coach Federation) may focus on problems and goals, but a good coach knows that the problems and goals are just fodder for the real work, which is developing the person. A good therapist knows this as well.
In my practice, the delineation is largely administrative and legalese (I can conduct therapy only within states I am licensed in), and my focus is on the client's specific need in each session. Some sessions are process-heavy, where we go quite slowly and gently, cultivating trust with our inner parts. Some sessions have a heightened energy, where we propel into vivid and fulfilling future states.
No matter what kind of session it is, we are looking to unlock profound internal transformation in every session so that you can go out and create profound transformation in your external world.
For therapy, I'm in network with Aetna PPO and hope to be in network with Cigna soon. I also accept self-pay (see PDF below) and can provide superbills.
For coaching, your insurance will likely not cover the sessions. However, coaching sessions generally can be considered professional development or business expense.
If you are interested in coaching or not using insurance for therapy, check out the pricing info sheet for detailed self-pay rates:
